Walk on!

The 30-year wait is over. Liverpool are champions of England. What does this mean for an average Reds supporter in India?

For the better part of my youth, I've witnessed terrible players, egregious performances, ignominious exits, while the competition raced ahead. Yet, as Jordan Henderson did his trademark shuffle, lifting the coveted trophy, it felt certainly underwhelming. Was it COVID-19? Or was it the manner in which Klopp's men walloped their opponents?

It's only later that it dawned on me that hope is a stronger emotion than joy. The project is over. Perhaps it's time to back the next underdog.
